They should have just replaced HRM Pro. Just call it an HRM Pro 2. Like how all their other devices change every 2 years like Fenix 6 then Fenix 7 or 945 to 955. Should have just made this the HRM-pro 2 and dropped price on old model to $99. They are literally selling both for $129 on Garmin US right now.
Garmin HRM Pro locking on cadence. Just Purchased a HRM Pro and used it for the first time today. I wet the electrodes before using and made use it fit well. I noticed that after 5 min the HR suddenly went up 30 bpm and locked onto my running cadence. I read the "erratic heart rate" section of the manual and noticed that it recommended cotton Just HR: any well rated strap garmin or not will work. Probably garmin dual or polar h9/h10/oh1 are good options. Running dynamics (within garmin ecosystem/app): HRM TRI or RUN. Honestly with a garmin watch on the wrist this is giving most people the top end of functionality they will actually use. I just past my return window on my second hrm pro plus so getting h10 means extra $90 . All I really want is the lactate threshold update.
